Research Papers Explained
Research Papers ExplainedAlbert Einstein was considered to be one of the greatest minds of all time, but he did not stop there. He continued his research in chemistry and physics, as well as writing many articles that proved to be very important to our knowledge of the world around us.Although he would no longer be alive to see the incredible discoveries made by Albert Einstein, we have his name inscribed on a variety of historic buildings, scientific instruments, and computer technology. Many people would argue that Einstein's work would not have been as high of a standard without the lab he worked in, but it was this lab that was most important to his discovery of special relativity, one of the fundamental theories of science. It was also here that he began to observe irregularities in the laws of nature, including the time it took for objects to travel from one place to another.Relativity is the best understood of all the laws of physics, and it was because of this ability to pred ict the effect of gravity on our world that helped Einstein to make so many breakthroughs. His concept of the law of universal gravitation allowed him to establish what scientists call the prediction equation. It had previously been thought that gravitational forces exerted by anything else were impossible. The prediction equation makes these forces possible. The physics of the early 1900s required Albert Einstein to seek an explanation for the existence of relativistic gravity. Because of his pioneering work in optics, Einstein became one of the most influential scientists in history. If you have a curiosity about his work, it's a good idea to check out his research papers. You may discover some of his best-known theories.Albert Einstein's own theory of general relativity had a huge impact on the future of science. This theory, which is still taught today, states that everything in the universe is connected in some way, and the way you view thisinterconnectedness will affect how you view your understanding of the world. General relativity theory is important to people studying a variety of subjects, such as astronomy, aeronautics, and the study of the workings of the universe.Einstein's research papers on electromagnetic radiation are still being used today. Many people don't realize the significance of this paper. It's important to understand that although Einstein's field of physics has evolved significantly since his time, much of the work has been based on measurements that Einstein made while using an early form of radio, known as the Doppler effect. The fact that radio waves have the ability to transmit energy between stations and are able to travel great distances has enabled science to study the effects of relativity. As was the case with most of Einstein's research papers, the discovery of the subatomic particles helped to show his observations of relativity were correct. This one paper was probably one of the most important that he ever wrote. It gave researchers the tools they needed to calculate the results of Einstein's predictions and provide evidence that they were right.Albert Einstein's research papers are available at libraries all over the world. If you plan on looking up a paper that has a significance to your field of study, it's a good idea to start by looking online. There are a number of places online where you can find access to important documents.

Ideo s Creative And Internal Systems Culture - 1483 Words
What makes a company successful? In a changing industry dominated by big corporations, the success of a business ultimately relies on a supportive and creative environment where a product can thrive. In an industry dominated by innovation, IDEOââ¬â¢s human-centered design process seems to understand and welcome this development, a new trend in the business world that The Business Times refers to as the start-up ecosystem [1]. This start-up ecosystem is defined as the adoption of startup behaviors such as values, a specific mission, and talent strategy [2]. Not only has IDEO taken on this disruptive change, the company is also helping other organizations build this creative and internal-systems culture [3]. Ultimately, IDEOââ¬â¢s start-up oriented hot teams are the key to the success of IDEO. I argue, however, that IDEO has taken the concept of team dynamics to an entirely new level, using diversity as a broader concept of inclusion that speaks to the quality and effectiveness o f their teams and ultimately the company itself. Through team dynamics, IDEO has gained a set of insights to help understand needs and opportunities in the business world. IDEOââ¬â¢s foundation involves the very definition of a team, where shared goals have been established and effective methods developed to accomplish the goals of the company [4]. Systematic Health & Safety for Production-MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about theSystematic Workplace Health Safetyfor Production. Answer: The Safety Works Maine, (2013) maintains that in most of the organizations, the Workplace Health and Safety program will target the production function and quality control. In our organization, much emphasis of the healthy and safety program is concentrated on production and quality control. The organization believes that a successful safety and health system should meet the following requirement; The ability of the managers to commit themselves fully to ensure the program work, The workers/employees set out in the whole program, A system to identify and control hazards. This is basically the hazard identification and risk assessment, Compliance with the OSHA regulations, Safe work practices training, A conducive climate to safety that is enhanced by mutual respect, caring and open communication, and Continuous improvement. (Eva Associates 2012) presented that other needs of the organization in regard to the program may also include setting out procedures or processes to achieve training and supervision of workers, incident management, emergency planning, and risk mitigation. Basically the purpose of the system is to maintain a safe and health workplace. This helps in improving the organizations work environment. The organization is able to have a chance to reflect its business culture, the hazard within the workplace and its also able to handle the safety of its workers more effectively. Just as the organization practices, (eds. Pearse et al. 2001, p. 146) maintains that the purpose of such a program is to continually minimize or eliminate risk. The organization maintains that the employees need to be trained, develop increased awareness of the program and competence so that the health and safety is achieved. (Health and safety Authority 2006, p. 21) Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Template Activity description: Conducted by: Date: Step 1: Hazard identification Biological Bodily Fluid/Blood Virus/disease Hygiene Other details Critical incident resulting in: Lockdown Evacuation Disruption Other /Details Environment Extreme Temperature Exposure to Sun Noise Water Creatures Weather Other Hazards/Details Step 2: Risk Assessment Level Likelihood Consequence/outcome (Scale of Low-High) Insignificant Minor Moderate Major critical Highly Likely Likely Unlikely Step 3 Risk control In this step we just need to prepare a table then enter the following information Identification of the hazards is done The risk level should be rated using the information contained in step 2 Writing the control measures so that to implement elimination or minimization of the risk following the set standards and procedures. Step 4: monitoring and reviewing controls Can be completed any period(i.e. ongoing basis or after basis) Yes No 1. Are there sufficient control measures for minimization of the risk? 2. Has anything changed in accordance to the control measures? 3. Do we require any further control measures in a period to come? Details: Completed by: Designation Signature Date After testing the template and evaluating it, I found it was successful in identification of various hazards and risks which brought a chance of finding other minor ones which could expose workers to danger though very hard to notice for example hazard like Manual Tasks which involve things like working heights and restricted area. We were able to assess the level of risk practically after which we had to change priority of controlling some since some were even unlikely to occur though earlier I had categorized them as likely. Controlling of the risks became easier since I had categorized them in accordance with preferred hierarchy of control through some methods such as elimination, substitution, redesign, isolation and administration. The positive performance indicators were that the workers participated in implementing it. Improvements required are that we need further control measures in future and we needed to deal with the changes to the planned control measures. The organizati on was able to find that it needed further control measures in future Some barriers to introducing WHSMS into an organization as Ed. Pearse et al. (2001, pp. 237-238) includes the application of traditional management approach which tends to have lower integration of the various departments. This can be overcome by having a management system approach. The second barrier is inadequate time and resources. In order to overcome this barrier, some changes may be required in the organization in terms of leadership and personnel. The third barrier is the application of bureaucratic procedures. Unnecessary bureaucratic procedures may have to be eliminated in order to allow efficient running of the program. The fourth barrier is that some programs may work in another organization and not in another based on the size of the organization. This would be overcome by determining which system suits the organization by matching with the available resources, safety regulations, and industrial risks. Another major barrier is the complexity of some systems. This may be o vercome by having the necessary resources and expertise in place before implementing the program. There are various types of topics which are discussed in the WHS Act 2011 which include: Health and safety duties this covers the duties of the business, the management and even the employees towards achieving heath and safety. Incident notification which evaluates the various types of incidents that are common in the workplace and describes how they can be reported. Authorization deals with requirements for authorization or work places, requirements for authorization of plant or substance, requirements for authorization of work, among others. Consultation, representation and participation- this topic covers the consultation with workers and their representatives. It actually aims at fulfilling the duties of the various parties that are involved. Discriminatory, coercive and misleading conduct; covers the various violations that may sabotage the program and sets out ways of how they are to be solved. Pay to Play The Perils and Perks of Fee-Based Submissions
Pay to Play The Perils and Perks of Fee-Based Submissions Iââ¬â¢ve been freelancing full-time since 2009. In that time Iââ¬â¢ve entered (and won) many writing competitions. Some have been free to enter, but Iââ¬â¢ve also pursued opportunities that include the dreaded phrase ââ¬Å"fee-based submission.â⬠Some writers balk at the idea of reading fees: to them, forking over a check is like throwing money away. In the other camp are writers who actively seek out publications and competitions that charge fees, seeing those markets as both competitive and prestigious. The Drawbacks of Fees Beyond the obvious cost of writing a check, there are other deterrents to consider when applying to a pay-to-play market. The most troublesome, though relatively rare these days, are the so-called ââ¬Å"scamâ⬠markets: unscrupulous contest runners who take your money and run, never declaring a winner (or in other cases, canceling the contest and refusing to refund your fee). Always research the market on Duotropeââ¬â¢s Digest or Poets Writers if youââ¬â¢re not certain about the legitimacy of a publication or contest. Another concern is arguably more philosophical than monetary. Many freelancers today refuse to take jobs that pay little or no money as a matter of principle, believing that doing so perpetuates more markets that underpay and devalue writers. For them, paying to have their work read might just leave them in the red. But on the Other Hand Despite some initial wariness, many pay-to-play markets are absolutely worth considering. Often, literary magazines charge a submission fee, which also includes the cost of a subscription to the magazine. This will provide you with insights about what stories the editors prefer, giving you an edge when you send them your next submission. Other times, particularly with competitions, your fee ensures that the judges will give you specific, detailed feedback about your work, which is quite a valuable perk to writers of any experience level. Moreover, if you make a living solely from writing, you may be able to deduct submission fees on your taxes, as they are part of your work-related communications costs (just like manila envelopes or postage). Speaking of literary professionals, your reading fee is just that: a fee that pays for the time it takes an editor to review your work. That fee could be what keeps your favorite magazine (or non-profit) afloatâ⬠¦try thinking of your submission fee as a charitable donation. Finally, thereââ¬â¢s the strategic advantage of entering a market with a fee hurdle. Because some writers will inevitably turn up their nose at fee-based markets, the field of competitors may be smaller than for a free-to-enter contest. With so many writers eliminating themselves, youââ¬â¢ve got a better chance at taking top honors. Now What? So, when is it acceptable to gamble with your hard-earned money and time to pay someone to consider your work? Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. Over the years Iââ¬â¢ve spent writing, Iââ¬â¢ve come to understand that my time is valuable. In essence, all submissions cost you something (time is money, after all.) And even when Iââ¬â¢ve entered fee-based competitions and lost, Iââ¬â¢ve still been able to find homes for those stories a few months down the line, thanks to feedback I received. Consider this: if you are paying to have your work read
